Our Mission
The 2025 walk brought hundreds of people together at Houlton's Riverfront Park. Bridge to Hope works hard to keep fundraising expenses extraordinarily low so donations can go where they are needed most—to people battling cancer in our area.
Hope Grows When We Stand Together
A cancer diagnosis brings unimaginable emotional and financial hardships to families right here in our hometown. But your compassion changes everything. By walking, volunteering, donating, sponsoring, or even just sharing our mission, you remind these families that they are seen, supported, and loved. Together, we can lift that heavy burden and make sure no local family has to face cancer by themselves.

It Takes a Village
Bridge to Hope is built on something powerful: people helping people.
The organization grew through word of mouth, one family telling another about the help available.
Board members and volunteers have personal connections to cancer, having experienced the disease themselves or through family members and friends. That personal understanding is part of what makes Bridge to Hope different.
The people providing assistance aren’t simply writing checks. They are making personal connections, hand-delivering donations and standing alongside families when they need support most.
And the tradition continues. Children and family members of longtime board members are stepping forward to help carry the mission into the future.
